SpLyrics, a script emerged from boredom

I cooked up this script out of boredom to “immerse” up my Spotify setup. It divides the terminal screen into three handy sections via tmux: synced lyrics on the left for following along(sptlrx), a nifty visualizer at the bottom(cava) because my autism wanted me to, and a straightforward command-line controls panel on the right(spotifycli) for when I can’t be bothered to move my mouse. It also supports minor configuration, by the way. Have pictures below.

Yeah, you get the idea on how it works.

Oh, also. This OBVIOUSLY needs Spotify Premium to work. Sorry.

Features

You can customize how lyrics look, via the config file. Or even change the mode to pipe-print out everything raw, or sync them in a fancy way.

You can also customize the visual bars. Also included in the config file.

And are you lazy to move your mouse? GOOD. That’s why spotifycli is included on top-right.

Download

Here. Also includes all details about the project, alongside installation. Should support most of the mainstream distros. Maybe even the minor niche ones, let me know.
